POSTPONMENT OF ALL GAMES 26-27 JULY

25 Jun 2021 by Colin Reddish

To All Members, Players, Coaches, Managers, Parents and Supporters

PLEASE READ ALL

Due to today’s announcement by the NSW Government whereby additional restrictions are now in place, namely anyone who lives or has worked either full time or part time in the 4 LGAs mentioned (Sydney CBD, Woollahra, Waverley & Randwick) are now subject to a stay at home order until midnight Friday 2nd.

This means many of Southern Districts Coaches, Managers, Referees, Club officials, players and parents will be affected.

In assessing the impacts this would have to all the fixtures this weekend and understanding that this change in restrictions will have an impact on the vast majorities of teams participating in all Competitions, the above impact would be too detrimental to the teams in our Association and would lead to many games being unplayable due to unavailability.

This will also apply to midweek fixtures schedule for the week commencing 28th June.

After consideration of the impact of the restrictions and more importantly keeping all members in our Association safe, SDSFA have made the decision to pause all fixtures this weekend.

NO GAMES THIS WEEKEND

By doing this we increase the likelihood of having a close to normal full season.

These fixtures are expected to be played at a later date and we will inform everyone of the changes to the fixtures

Southern Districts and Hinchinbrook Sports Club believe that the above decision is in the best interest of our member’s health and the responsible thing to do.

We would like to thank everyone in advance for understanding the decision and position we have taken and more importantly is the everyone stays healthy and safe this weekend.

Yours Sincerely,

Colin Reddish
President
Hinchinbrook Sports Club
